Yea went to radio shack and made one. Diode black rings go toward Xbox right?

Is it really that easy to read the nand? I ordered the programmer and glitcher to recover drive keys. Reading nand is as easy as soldering wire  to chip, mobo and USB away!?

1) install jtag and make 2 good reads of your nand (personaly I did this with a maximus jtag and jtag tool because once its done the second read it compares the nands for you)

2) generate your ecc file. You can either go the long drawn out convoluted way and do all that crap in the tutorial with python or use the great tool made by bestpig.
TY bestpig you sure made it easy lol (recomendation: Bestpig ecc generator)

3) Flash the ecc file to your system
Unfortunately jtag tool does not support ecc files so this part will need to be done with nandpro through the command prompt

4) Program your matrix glitch chip with the apropriate file
IMHO team matrix should have included a usb jtag cable (even at an increased cost) or a more newb firendly diagram but HEY it is what it is. Make up your cable and program your glitch chip with the apropriate file.
FYI I used the dvd cable method of powering the chip for programing the chip the maximus Xtractor does NOT work however the tutorial says the xectuter one will but I can't confirm.
Personaly I powered mine with a 360

5) Install Your chip and prepare for one xell of a disapoitment.
The video example of the matrix loading was probably a best example i personaly have been having one bitch of a time getting these to boot at all sometimes it takes 20-40 seconds other times 2-4 min and yea sometimes not at all.
I plan on learning how to adjust timeing before i use one of these as a permanent jtag solution and you shoud too.

6) (optional) if you were just doing this to see ow it worked or to retrive dvd keys once you have what you need flash back your original nand and uninstall all those wires

Hopefully this helps someone out there

I dont think Bestpig has updated his tool for the new Xell-Reloaded with bug fixes and such.  I posted the reset glitch with a batch file that loads the command for you if you want to use the official reset Glitch from GliGli.  smile.gif

These 2 things will make it easy as can be.  the first one is an easy to use Glitch Programmer that another member posted (you might have to select the correct IO address for your LPT port as I did when I used it).  And the other is the Repackaged Reset Glitch package from GliGli with a batch file and all needed files to run it.   Read the readme usage.txt file for details.

i was having problems with python but anyway the tool Exploit 360 1.0.0 for jtag and glitch has a app folder you can just copy paste any new releases into this then build and flash the the ecc with the simple gui

also as im using lpt on pci with nandpro i used the pci pacther witch i think only works with nandpro 2.0d so i replaced the nandprov2.0e inside Exploit 360 1.0.0 with my patched one..

I've been following most of your post Antman1. You've gone through some all the fun. So I got my nand. Checked it Twice. Flashed with the ecc. But I used the Pig. Is the ecc generated an older one? The 1.1 is that not what I'm gonna prgram with this damn cable i had to make lmao!. Thanks for all the help!

UPDATE: Got the Glitchip Software but I have no idea whats my port so working on that. LMAO. Also Checking Bios Setting. SPP Correct? I'm also getting some other options on the LPT. Gonna Have to mess around for a few. BAH

I'm at a sad stand still...Will not get recognized through Labs. I got it Somewhat recognized with The Glitchip Prog. But it Can not identify it and says an error in ref to TDO Being stuck at 1. I'm Thinking maybe remake the jtag cable?

I need help as well, I have a Universal JTAG adapter from TIAO and I understand no problem how to dump the nand image with this.
I don't want to spend ANOTHER 20 bucks on a programmer when I have this one so. My issue comes into where I need to program the actual matrix glitcher.
I will have no problem plugging anything into it, as I have a pin board that will fit it nicely(no soldering yay)
Basically I don't know which color cable goes to what pinhole on the matrix glitcher board.
On the glitcher there is VCC, GND, TCK, TDO, TDI, and TMS, I need these to match up to the colors of wire on my Universal JTAG adapter.
For reference here is the tutorial on using the Universal JTAG adapter to dump the nand.
http://(www).tiaowiki.(com)/w/How_to_JTAG_XBOX_360
Take out parentheses.
The related section should be "Prepare the JTAG connection".

Thanks so much to anyone that lends a hand!

Edit: Would it be the same wiring as a modem? Because I found a "Buffered Mode" for a cable modem here that seems to fulfill at least the naming theme for those wiring points.

Dunno about the universal jtag cable but gligli guide to one I do. It works! Make the cable with 5 bucks. Then I'd use glitchip prog. Finally programmed with v1.1 now installing for first boot...bah

I figured I'll ask this here too, since no one has replied to the other thread. Does Xex menu work with the reset glitch?

Check all your connections.  If you can post pics it will help as well.  I had the same problem and my install looked perfect.  I finally gave up and redid everything with different wiring and it boots now within 5 seconds everytime.

newtype06: The Glitch cant load Xex Menu.

I'm wondering if I f'd the nand. The programmer does not need to remain attached to mobo right? No camera to take pics...but I'm sure they're right...on Jasper no D and E. I dunno what I'm missing. DVD drive doesn't need to be connected? I rebuild ecc with cmd after setting permission to python. I resoldered programmer to install new ecc. Removed programmer and installed glitch.

If I write the nand that was made back. It should boot as normal?
