Dvd2xbox, A Tutorial
« on: December 19, 2003, 08:36:00 AM »

I have a dream of a place where a thousand different people could go and have there similar questions answered about one of the most seemingly best apps for the xbox, DVD2XBOX. I've heard stories that it can compress video and has easy to navigate windows, oh if only they were true. If anyone anywhere has seen any type of step by step I would much in your debt.
Sincerely,
Giving Up

There is a tutorial for dvd2xbox, sadly, as it is one of the easiest-to-use apps out there.

No, it can't compress or re-encode video.  It simply decrypts the CSS protection on a DVD to allow ripping.

GIMPY, have to tried dvd2xbox 5.1 tc1???

yeah I have been using the whole day to play around with it, and I have found out it is just for ripping the .vob files so it isn't as great as I once thought perhaps someday someone will create software that will rip and encode in one foul swoop. until that day I will search for something that perhaps does that on my pc and just transfer the compressed files, for now I am ripping and compressing manually.
But I wish that sourceforge.net would somehow disclose that it doesn't have the default.xbe file that would answer so many people's first and question, which was mine at first.
Thanks for the reply post I apreciate it, if the world had have the yearn to teach as those on forums, we'd be in another galaxy by now
Keep it up
