Desperately Need Help Changing Xenon Region Pal->ntsc
« on: December 20, 2010, 08:34:00 AM »

open your nand in 360 flash too, out in your cpu key and 1bl key. then edit the region in your keyvault and save it as for example "my freeboot ntsc-u.bin"

flash it and have fun. Understand that NONE of your PAL games will run after doing this so you will have to get region free or ntsc-u games to play

Thanks for a reply, Maybe it wasn't clear enough from my post I already did what you suggested. When I dump a newly flashed ntsc-us firmware from my Xenon it indeed reports back as NTSC-U, however I am still getting only Pal-50 or Pal-60 output settings. I was thinking that maybe region and output are somehow two different things? Maybe in order to get real NTSC output changing the region hex value is simply not enough? Maybe I need to swap some files in the NAND. I'm not bothered about what I can or cannot boot, I need to change the output settings  to get rid of black-white picture on US TV.

If your sure the keyvault is set to ntsc-u properly then i guess you're out of luck and a converter is the only way :S

I got this figured out. I was changing the region by patching the Key Vault in 360 Flash Tool which in fact was changing only the game region. In order to change the video output, I had to go to Tools->Edit Config and change the Video Region. Thanks anyway.
