Major Help Pls

Ok after awhile of searching we have narrowed our problem down to maybe it being a bad EEPROM. Now we want to know how do we fix this, all the info on sites about it just confuses us. We DL xbox tool, but have no idea how to use it or get what we need from the computer to the xbox. Can someone pls help me.
