At this point, I cannot get this version to run on my Xbox.  I've tried just about every suggestion in this thread.  I hope you figure this one out soon

EDIT:  Another couple of things that I've tried that didn't help:

• Loading disc at dashboard before starting DVD2Xbox
  
• Swithching from Region 4 to Region 1
  
• Switching from PAL to NTSC
  
• Switching from 'Surround Sound' to 'Stereo'
  

EDIT 2:  I just realized that I wasn't quite accurate when I initially said 'hitting A or B does nothing'.  I turns out that I was always trying A first, then B.  However, if I hit B first, it actually works, and goes into the HDD Browser.  I can even hit the Back button to go to the Main Menu, then hit B again to go into the HDD Browser.  But as soon as I try hitting A, then it freezes up.

EXACT and i mean EXACT same problem here, and i have also tried all of those things to get it it work. For now i can use 0.5.1 just fine. I don't get what the problem is...? But i hope we can figure it out. Great work

One more thing... I also tried deleting my CACHE folder on E: same problem

damn. someone from a german board got it work with this workarounds and this pointed me to some issue I could work on.

Without doing any debugging, it seems as if the app is stuck in an infinite loop.

I know this is prolly listed somewhere else, but how much time is required to actually get my xbox into a good state where I can debug this app?  Just looking for a ballpark estimate.

Just got done testing dvd2xbox 0.5.2 tc1. Works perfectly. I don't know what u did? but i haven't froze the app up yet. I never even tried tc2. But tc1 works for me. Great work

 I would need to do a lot more testing later (when I have the time), but at first glance, it seems like you squashed that bug.

i had the same prob as dzv, when i tried the tc1 it works fine when launching from evox.
but when launched from xbmp which is my dash it doesnt even get to the splash screen, it just cycles back to xbmp. i have a feeling this is an issue with xbmp and my config but i havent been able to figure it out.

have used 5.0 successfully in the past and got 5.2 a few days ago.  5.2 did work for one game (copied to e:games).  i copied some stuff on the f drive over to my pc and i think i used the dvd2xbox browser to delete some of the directories afterward (some deleted through ftp also).  think it was after that that 5.2 stopped working.  i can still use the browser (the B button), but it would freeze when i'd press A.  i did try deleting the dvd2xbox directory and "reinstalling" a number of times.  i think it did work one time after that (get to the destination list after press A), but i didn't go through with the copy because the game was too big for my f drive.  after that it stopped working again.

so, i'm not sure why it happened.  along the way, i thought that i was losing space on my F drive.  thought that files/directories that i had deleted weren't freeing up space or something, but i might have just forgotten that it's only 2gig and not 4 like E.  i did reformat F a few times but that did not fix 5.2 freezing on the A button.

anyway, just got the tc1 and tc2 zip and have successfully copied a game with tc1.  haven't tried tc2.  i have 1.0 xbox, stock 10gig HD, stock Thomson DVD, chameleon modchip, evox 1.8.3921 dash, evox M7 bios.
