The new UnleashX dashboard can be password protected, but there's no way to password-protect your Xbox while the chip is disabled.

Don't forget the original dashboard to offer password protection for HD-based apps and actions, Media X Menu (MXM) (See my signature for a preview)

You just aren't looking in the right places ;)

I also should mention X-Select 0.6, which also lets you select your "default" dashboard, or any other dashboard, as well as provide password protection to the HD on startup.

There is another program called X-Pass, but I've never tried that.

I have it on good authority, however, that both MXM and X-Select are excellent programs...

Use unleashX and unlock your hard drive. Password protected when chip in on with unleash, and won't load when chip is off because ms dash requires a lock HD. Just wanted to put in my 2 cents.  :D

You could also use a hacked bios to stop default.xbe loading from D: but only do that if your pretty confident you can recover if anything goes wrong.
