Dvd2xbox Will Not Boot
« on: December 11, 2003, 11:53:00 AM »

I select Dvd2Xbox from the menu, the Evolution X screen pops up, then a few seconds later I'm taken back to the dashboard. Has this happen to anyone else? I searched the forums, but could not find any similar cases.

- I am running version 5.01 of Dvd2Xbox
- I tried turning off all IGR's in the evox.ini
- I deleted newly saved games, and the cache
- I tried both f:/apps and e:/apps
- I tried re-downloading it

Anyone have some ideas?

Thanks,
Medogee

This normaly happens if a programm can't find its some of its media files.

Thanks a ton, that was the problem... I'll explain what happened.  First off, WinZip is a piece of crap.  I dl'ed Dvd2Box zip file and opened it with WinZip.  Well it turns out that Winzip shows you all of the files in a flat structure (none of the folders).  What I had done was to just drag those files out of Winzip into a folder on my desktop.  You actually have to use extract instead if you want to get the correct structure with files in their correct folders!  OR you could just use WinRar which does not have this problem.

Thanks again,
