What Modchip Should I Get To Do Jtag?
« on: September 05, 2010, 05:54:00 PM »

There aren't any modchips for the JTAG hack. It's a straight wire-and-diodes/resistors hack. (Unless you want dual-NAND, but that's not very common these days. A Cygnos 360 chip is what you'd want in that instance.) There are things like NANDX, but that wouldn't be very useful to an experienced solderer like yourself.

If you want a tutorial with all of the information you need, arranged in a relatively organized manner, this is what you're looking for.

I would ensure that the Xbox is actually functional before attempting to modify it in any way. That helps to rule out any potential hardware problems in case you run into issues along the way. Beyond that, the tutorial I've linked is a great guide for which steps to take first.
