« on: November 24, 2003, 07:28:00 PM »

is there some sort of app that can be loaded from the evox dash that can rip cd's (burned) from tray to the M$ soundtrack folder for those of us whose dvd drives can't read burned cds? or should i just continue using mp32wma and XBOX Soundtrack Editor...

it's a harware thing, not a software thing, so no software is gonna be able to read your CD-Rs if your drive can't.

I suppose tr4il ment an app that can convert the wave files from a cdr which have been tranfered to the box via ftp.
There is none, but you can convert them on pc to a format the soundtrack thingie can handle.
I think there was a tut for converting and putting them in the right folder.

that he already knew how to do everything from the PC side.

there are a plethera of rippers for the PC.  the one i use is CDex.  it is 100% free and will even rip from CD to mp3 (instead of having to rip to wav and then convert wav to mp3)  CDex will also convert files back and forth from wav and mp3.  if you google it, you will find it :)
