« Reply #15 on: September 03, 2004, 10:29:00 AM »

Someone must know their way aroung the mobo and someone must know what has gone wrong and someone must be able to tell me.
My xbox can't be seriously damaged because I can get it to work. I just can't get it to work right.
Come on I need to lpay Halo 2. I might not be able to is I can't fix iy.

sounds to me that ur bigger HDD is obviously sucking more power and causing the slow flubber causing those wierd things to occur.  and the voltages may be all messed up when you remove both IDE devices casuing unbalanced voltages ot the MOBO making it unstable.  This ALL sounds like you need a new power Supply.  THere is a guy on here named a@ron PM him and talk to him about your problem he is the biggest whiz i know and i have used him to fix my xbox when i broke it.   I hope this helps and seriously PM him he is SO worth your time and if you have to buy a new PSU this guy sells for absolute cheapest.  The not fragging thing is a damn good thing meaning ur mobo is in working condition.  DO NOT turn ur xbxo anymore though becasue if u get a surge or anything to the MCPX its the end of you....

I have been playing on my box for 3 days now with no probs. No boot problems or anything. Even the flubber is perfect. All i did was take out the fan and put in the stock.

The only thing it doesn't do is load the bios when the Hd or DVD drive is unplugged or frag.

Why would it be very bad if the chip got fried. I'd still be able to use my box right?
