Dvd-x Question

Is there any way DVD-X can use the remote?  I love the region free ability of DVD-X, but hate having to use the xbox controller to move around in a dvd.  Using the remote/dongle with DVD-X would give me the best of both worlds.

You can patch the MS DAsh region free.
