Pin Short Method To Detect Nand
« on: April 29, 2010, 12:33:00 AM »

Nevermind, I figured it out.

For people in the future that are having this problem.

Pretty much all you do is short the data pins on the nand chip. The data pins are the ones with traces going into them. Either 29-32 or 41-44.

I just took a stripped wire, held it down onto pins 29-32, pluged in the power, waited 10 secs, removed the wire, then it was detected in nandpro.

Hope this helps someone in the future

Pin Short Method To Detect Nand

Also, I don't know if this is universal or just some weird thing with my box, but I had one action before it would stop working again. Example: I could read one time, or write one time before I had to short the pins again. So I erased the first 50 to delete the SMC code. Then after that it starts working correctly.

Hope this helps smile.gif
