Question:
Is there any way to check your image, I mean, I am really bad with soldering and I want to know is there any way to reflash console again if there will be some errors (e79 etc) without lpt cable and staff? unsure.gif

thats correct, because the freeboot image is a clean solution where the xbr solution was just a hack, so you can use also the internal memory

I thought i heard that freeboot got rid of the nand coruption problem with the internal memory?

default is xb1 if you wanna change it then you just need to copy for your motherboard from

C:\freeBOOT-0.032\bin\patches [full mem editing] to C:\freeBOOT-0.032\bin\ (for full mem)
or
C:\freeBOOT-0.032\bin\patches [xb1 compatibility] to C:\freeBOOT-0.032\bin\ (for XB1)

Everything worked perfectly, flashed with flash360 then used the official update from usb drive. My main doubt is that my 360 on the box said that it had a 256MB internal memory unit, but when using flash360 it said that I had 512MB Nand, so I used the 512 commands and in the end everything worked. My question is: If my nand was a 256MB one and I used the 512 commands it wouldn't had worked, right? Thanks for your time.

The first 16 bytes of KV.bin (fist byte starts with cb) is data and not 00, is it still okay to delete theses bytes?

yes delete it, also it doesn't matter, because we need it only to get smc_config.bin, we do it with nandpro, so also if you do something wrong you will inject then with nandpro the correct one (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I just followed this guide (mostly) for my BB Jasper512. Using this tool to convert your config into something ibuild recognises is the way to go and you avoid having to create two images

http://www.xboxhacke...p?topic=15032.0

Just updated mine and all works perfectly

nandpro wouldn't  read my flashdmp (no virtual nand found) but luckily I had extracted them earlier using flashtool. I created a freeboot image and flashed it keeping my original kv and config. All works without a problem.

In flashtool my original dump was logged as jasper (256mb) and my freeboot image was retail jasper (64mb) but everything worked fine.

Hello,

i recreated now the tutorial again, this solution works faster and is easier in my eyes, big thanks to the RAW2SMC Tool from foouser, you can download here now the FreeBOOT AllinOne Package, there is everything in you need.

1.) XeLLous v1.0 by Redline
2.) FreeBOOT AllinOne Package
3.) 1BL Key just google “1BL XBOX”

in the FreeBOOT AllinOne Package you will find all needed Files and the XBR2freeBOOT Tutorial.pdf, which describes you step by step everything.

I think it's already been said, but this is much, much easier and faster (assuming you already have your NAND image - clean or XBR it doesn't matter).

1. Download Freeboot Toolbox 0.032 maker - http://gueux-forum.n...howtopic=237345
2. Run Freeboot Toolbox 0.032 maker - type in your CPU key and check your motherboard type (uncheck "Auto detect motherboard" if you're using a 256MB or 512MB Jasper), click "generate freeBOOT."
3. Rename the freeBOOT.bin it created to updflash.bin, place it on your USB drive (in the root), put it in the 360, launch Xellous (press eject) and wait about 45 seconds for it to update your system.

In all the entire process takes about 2 minutes. If your Xellous install has errors, you can just use Flash 360 to flash updflash.bin instead. I did this on 2 different consoles last night, went perfectly.

again you miss the point!!! Freeboot Toolbox Maker is a great tool if it work, but it fail often in my case no way because it can't handle 16MB Jasper dumps!!!!!
But the biggest issue i have with it is that it use one generic smc_config.bin for all images!!! and not the one from your XBOX360, so all images you make with Freeboot Toolbox Maker and what you flash to Xbox360 will have same Serialnumber, same Mac Adress,...............
I have 3 Xbox at home and i wanna play in my local Network! so Freeboot Toolbox Maker is no option for me! and also for others.
If they change there Toolbox to use the smc_config.bin from your own dump, then it will be a good tool, but at this stage it is just a dirty Tool, which do it not as it should do it.

Wow, I didn't know that. Hopefully they do update it, though I'm not concerned about MAC addresses since I don't use wireless adapters, or the serial number, since I don't plan on ever trying to take my JTAG's online.

your Lan Adapter has the Mac adress thats a number which only one device has, that has nothing todo with wireless! i also don't go online, for online i have a normal Xbox360, but in my house i have 3 Jtag Xbox360 and if they share all the same Mac Adress on Lan then you won't get a Ip Adress on 2 Xbox360, because the Router will report a conflict.
