freeBOOT v0.032
Posted by XanTium | April 18 22:51 EST | News Category: Xbox360

A new version of freeBOOT v0.03x has been released (a patched-9199 rebooter for all JTAG-exploitable 360s).

What's new/fixed:
* fixed profile corruption
* fixed xb1 emu
* updated xellous

General Features:
* updated to kernel 2.0.9199
* now supports all consoles and flashing solutions (ikari)
* removed memory protections
Code can be executed and modified anywhere in the range from 0x80000000 to 0x9FFFFFFF. This can be used to create game trainers and will allow for porting of emulators, which rely on dynamic compilation.
[2 different patches 1 with this: xbox1 emu doesn't, 1 without xbox1 emu does work]
* encrypted DevKit XEXes are now working
* includes dash launch patch
* LIVE/PIRS/GOD content fully working
* internal security breach reports deactivated (Redline99)
* easier image generation process (ikari)
* ibuild can now also generate single flash XeLL and original images (ikari)

A bit more info about the fixes/changes in this release:
Quote

This is a fixed set of patches for freeBOOT 0.031. It addresses profile corruption and Xbox 1 emulator compatibility. Unfortunately, you will need to choose between the functionality of the memory protection patch and the ability for full compatibility with Xbox originals, you cannot have both. Two sets of patches have been included, you may use the ones that fit you best. Profile corruption has been fixed completely, but understand that if you have anything previously signed by a banned keyvault, the container will be console locked to it (corrupted). There are a number of free tools to fix those profiles, but you should notice that the console is no longer rejecting containers from everything but itself. Possibly these patches can fix E79 issues (dashlaunch changes), but since we have not experienced any similar issues, it's hard to test.

To those experiencing frequent or sporadic E79 issues (specifically on Zephyrs), it has been reported that using this alternate wiring with voltage regulation may solve the issue: see here

Well...that's cool. I just finished building .031 but didn't flash it. Guess I'll build this one.

Thanks OP!

Also, don't forget to change the date back to "2004-2007 microsoft" if you changed it to view the original nand in flash 360/degraded. Took me a while to figure out that one. Won't build if it's the wrong date.

LOL nice, ty I look forward to building this tom (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) todays experience with .31 will no doubt prove useful.

Edit:
what does the OP mean by 'memory protection' does he mean the dynamic memory used by emulators or is this something else?

Whats does this sentence mean?
[2 different patches 1 with this: xbox1 emu doesn't, 1 without xbox1 emu does work]

 I took the patches out of the folder that said full memory editing , i was not concerned with the xbox1 emu , so am i too understand the one i used was the 1 that it will not work with?

Yes, patches_readme.txt should have cleared that up for you.

The extra patches are a nice addition, I choose the memory protection patch since I'm on a jasper 512 and don't really play xbox 1 games on my 360

Ok wait a sec, I thought this gave us full access to the 512mb GDDR3 on all 360's. Like as in, LINUX. Know what I am sayin?

It seems like this helps stop Jasper BB memory corruption. Correct?

Are you fucking serious? I wasn't being condescending at all, I actually figured that you hadn't read it, so I gave you the filename to find.

Get your panties out of a bunch and show respect when I dedicate hours of my time to helping people like you.

No, it has nothing to do with that. It's for removing protection on RAM (read-only, etc). Big blocks (and the MU) work fine with either patch. As in LINUX? What are you trying to say here?

 People like me?  you don't help people out you are condescending in every single post you put on this site. and you don't help in any way. not sure why you think you are special , how old are you i'm guessing 15 maybe?

 Linux will probably never be very big on the 360 , not unless some serious development goes on. They need a good kernel that can run the 3 core CPU and a 3d graphics driver would be a plus. You can rip games with ubuntu on the HDD and uxrip with it currently , and surf the web nothing very resource intensive though.

I thought u couldn't access all the RAM in Linux. I might be confusing with PS3 ATM tho. It's been awhile since I have booted linux on either.

And dude, just pass on that shit, the guy is obviously trying to piss u off. 99% of the time, they'll say what they have to say and not even listen to you. At least there are some people who can come down off their high horse for a second. A little like our altercation.

Your weird man, straight up. It's beyond me why you'd address anyone on here as "kid". There aren't many kids here, especially not the one your speaking to.

As well, I witnessed some pages back someone give you a valuable piece of info only for you to call the guy a "fucker". I suggest you have a bit more tact in your responses before you go and criticize other peoples.
