but we needed to change change the DVD key and OSIG

You cannot do that with new KVs, it will cause a hash mismatch. He needs to use stock KV, unedited.

Is it like that with all the Jaspers or Just the 512?

I thought if I had the CPU key I could do what ever I wanted but no way Jose.

By the way shouldn't Xell raport this? Because he can boot Xell....

I am totally disapointed.

I was reading of all the people unbanning their 360's with Donor KV's and now you can't even edit your own..

Is the KV hash in some other memory or?

People changing a PAL 360 to NTSC or Vice Versa, how come I never heard of this, how new is this???

Xell shows your CPU key. It's the line that shows the fuses.

Lines 3,4,5,6 are what you are looking for. 3 and 5 combined are your CPU key, as are 4 and 6 combined. They are the same, use either ones.

Hello im new here, I have a problem, I have my xbox jasper 256MB V4 with XBR i want to try the Freebooter, but according to my testing I have 3 of my NAND dumps without 0 errors, but I can not generate the ibuild that says "ERROR : Data in block 0, page 0, plane 0 is corrupted.ERROR: Unhandled exception. ".. But the nand works well, as well as the kv and config. And the XBR has never generated errors. Well here would be my question, if someone passes me the files needed for a nand Freebooter 256 or 512 with kernel 7371, could use them to generate the Freebooter with my kv and smc?

Greetings All... smile.gif

Fixed my error.

I was the guy who flashed with smc_enc.bin before we were all told to use smc_dec.bin.

Rendered my Falcon useless. Updated to Xellous via LPT and flashed the same bin but with smc_enc.bin switched out for smc_dec.bin and it worked, of course.

Ahhhh, the life of being a guinea pig. Should of waited, I didn't know the answer for sure and updated. Stupid. wink.gif

When trying to extract my NAND I get this error: "Data in block 137, page 21, plane 0 is corrupted. Unhandled Exception" Any ideas as to what might be causing this?

I had the same issue but at a different position. It means that your nand backup is faulty.
Well for me i THINK i fixed my backup.
This is what i did:
I had no clue how to calculate from block/page/plane to the hex position, so i opened up my nand in a hex editor. Scrolled into the middle position looked for a 00 and changed it to FF, saved the file.
Switched to cmd, redid the command and looked if the same position was corrupted.
If yes, your corruption is before that position: change the FF back to 00, save file.
Go to a position before the position you tried, by always taking half of the position you get it pretty fast.
It took me like 15mins.
If ibuild shows another adress, then you are before your corruption...

I had the luck that my error was in an area that was filled with FF FF FF FF ... , changed it and i was able to extract the files.

Bad explanation but i think you get what i mean.
greets

Now for my other console, whats wrong ?
Flashed freeboot, powered up, i get a single green light but no video/no error message.
I used the patched smc from the cygnos pack.

Use SMC from topic in #freeboot. Not cygnos pack.

I'm finding the new version to be very unstable,

I'm running Cygnos V2 (I use it to test and benchmark all new JTAG stuff) And it seems to be crashing when going back to dashboard from certain title(s). I'm using the non-xb1 version (Freeboot 0.32)and I've checked it against XBR3a to be sure.

I'm I the only one noticing unstability???

hello, hope for some who might help...
Is it possible to rebuild an original nand from my old 5787? time ago i've made a dummy mistake, just updating my board with 8955 from ms and without making a backup i've overwritten it with my old 5787 getting a 0022 rrod, so i don't have a good 8955 and no chance to recover it becoz it has been lost, i've read of an option flag of  ibuild to build an original image using cpu-key and a good original nand(ie my 5787), is it possible? and can i rebuild directly the new 9199 nand and just updating ldv and pairing data from my old ones?
Actually i've built a 9199 using my original nand and my smc_dec and config(and all the others), wanted to update ldv and put it to my board but didn't want to waste time becoz flashing tooks about 40mins, i hope someone might answer my questions.

TIA!!!

if you updated your cb is no longer exploitable if you can rebuild a unmodified nand, or if update on memorystick or disk will update that is the only way your console will work again, your console is no longer jtaggable

Ok, so, i don't wanna jtags my console anymore, i just want to resume(rrod 0022) it rebuilding a good 8955 or 9199 nand, like my original that i've lost, so updating its ldv and pairing values and flash it back to my board, consider that i got an old good dump(5787) with my cpu-key, is it possible to be done?

Alweays TIA!
