is there or will there be a boot cd for region free dvd that supports using the remote?

there wasn't any contact info in the dvd-x 2.0 nfo so i couldn't contact them. i'm no programmer myself but i doubt it'd be hard to implement that function. i also doubt i'm the only one interested in that function

I doubt there will be another release of DVD-X. So the only solution for ya is to use the MS Dash (regionfree patched ofcourse).

you'll need to patch your msdashboard  (use a copy) on your PC and you will need to specify in evox the name of the dvd player (as by default it wont boot a dvd)

now i've read http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?act...ST&f=40&t=96118
"All you have to do is :
- Get your xboxdash.xbe file on your PC
- Run the patch and apply it to your xboxdash.xbe
- Put the patched file back on your XBOX"

can my pc just read the xbox drive if i insert it or do i need some application?

well first you need your xbox connected to the pc via a network..

then using a ftp program like flash fxp copy the Msdashboard original file over (xboxdash.exe unless you renamed it).  Better if this is to a temp directory...  then run the patch as described.

Once done...  be careful to rename the original msdashbvorad file to say...   Msxboxdash.old  or similir...  then from flash fxp transfer the patched file back to the xbox c drive.

hope this helps
