I just tried this tonight and after 15-20 boots I haven't seen an e79 error (knock on wood) but only time will tell I will give it a few more days and see how it goes and post back.

Can you detail exactly what you did and was it on a crynos chip? Did you inject the config.bin?

Thanks

I did the exact same commands listed at the top of the thread , only i didn't use LPT i flashed using flash360. And no it is just a stock NAND , no chip

Mine has started doing it again as well. Although it does seem less frequent now. I wish someone would come up with a fix for this problem. I am not downgrading to a xenon just for stability. If i get a second power supply and a/v cable set i will experiment a little. I am enjoying modding Oblivion too much to break away and start anothing project , and i only have 1 powerbrick and a/v cable. I have 5 working 360s and only 1 powerbrick what a hassle. No they aren't all mine , i have 3 that are LIVE boxes with 8955 i was kinda sad when i got them in and saw that after i got them running again.

Im curious guys, what parts/pieces did you use for the jtagging?

I switched to a 330ohm resistor for the bridge wire and that seemed to help make the e79 disappear. Also, I am using the standard diodes, not the BAT ones.

I will give it a shot , i am using the 1n4148 diodes not the bat41 too. Have you rebooted and rebooted and unplugged and rebooted to test that it is gone. Mine was gone for a couple days and then came back again. I am really getting frustrated haveing to reset all my info when i turn it on.

Ya...I still get it here and there sad.gif
I think if it keeps up Ill install the BAT diodes, as those are faster and more efficient. I dont think it's a xbreboot issue, but how the wiring is done.

Yes people get it trying to boot too xell also , we can let this die it will either be fixed in the next release or it will be an ongoing prob and i won't be using Zephyrs anymore for Jtags.

I have had success with replacing the SMC code if you read up higher in the thread. Now it only does it after i unplug it , so the solution in my case is just leave it plugged in except i do work on many machines and i only have 1 powerbrick so that is where i get fucked. It is just annoying having to reset everything but whatever i guess.

I have 2 of them sitting on my shelf waiting for a fix, I'd sell them but don't feel like hearing anyone bitching at me about the constant/random e79...
