Only way to know 100% is to check the CB. However, research has shown that any console with the dashboard below 8xxx and manufactured BEFORE June 18th 2009 IS exploitable.

I *believe* the CB issue only applies to dashboard 7371, if you have a 7363, it should be fine.

consoles made 2009-6-16 or earlier that have dashboard 7371 or lower are exploitable.

consoles made 2009-6-23 or later are not exploitable. (even tho they have dash 7363)

in any case a console with a 8xxx dashboard is not exploitable.

You still need to dump the first 2MB from the NAND to get the CB value to make sure it really is exploitable, since it has 7371 on it, unless I'm mistaken.

It all comes down to the price.
Most likely, both consoles would be fine.

*edit* : if close in price ,.....I'd buy the Elite.

I ended buying a pre-modded console from a shop. so yeah cbf risking it ae.

Make sure it hasn't been back to Microsoft for repair, i have one here with dash 7371 but the fuses have been blown by the repair centre so it's not jtagable:( The 7363 should be fine.
