Problem: Jtag Jasper 16mb With Flashing Red Light (2&4) And (1&
« Reply #1 on: March 03, 2010, 09:57:00 AM »

Errors:
Do you have it connected via HDMI or component A/V? If HDMI, connect it via the component/composite A/V cable and see if it gives you an Exx code. Does it throw secondary error codes if you try to check them?

Wiring:
Are you connecting the 100/330 Ohm resistor between J2D1.4 and J2D1.7 instead of the jumper wire? Is your JTAG done via the new method (diodes) or old method (330 ohm resistors)? If you have diodes connected and not resistors, are they connected the right way (the black line on the diode facing the right direction)?

Flashing:
Did you flash XBR via LPT/USB flasher or did you do it via XeLL USB stick method? Did you merge your keyvault, config, XeLL(ous) properly, with the EXACT command syntax?

Cable:
VGA cable used and nothing shows up on screen.
Wiring:
Yes on 100 ohm no on 330 as its mainly a falcon board that has a problem but will try if I still cant boot up.
Using Diode method and aligned the correct direction (double checked) and connections are good.
Flashing:
LPT used to flash and read. XBR flashed

*Found out the problem:
Wrong file used, there are 2 jasper 16 mb files. Reflashed with XBR_Jasper16a_8955_3 and it runs perfectly.

Another problem has occured: Wifi adaptor plugged in the rear usb port or official play and charge cable plugged causes RROD (4 lights at the same time), anyone else encountered this problem?

Glad you got the original RRoD sorted out. As far as above, that's weird. What's the secondary error code?

Nothing shows up on the screen. Is there a way to make it show?

I believe xbr has issues when booting if there is a device plugged into the usb ports. You will need to boot, and then plug in the wifi adapter once the xbox is on.

Yes, here. Scroll down to where it says "--==SECONDARY ERROR CODES==-"

its all right red lights but its not an av issue.
I think XBR does have a problem with any devices plugged at the rear usb port. I tried it on another 360 (jasper) and same issue occurs.
