Bad Nand Flash

If I understand you right, it seems to me there's a problem with your cable, your pc, or the PC LPT port. I had to stop writing nand halfway through a couple of times and was always able to restart it sucessfully with no problems. For it to stop halfway and then say "cannot detect flash controller", it means something's wrong with your physical setup.

Thanks, i think I will remove all the wires and redo them.
I have read and written to this nand with the exact setup multiple times though before this happened.

I'd suggest checking continuity of your connection with your ohmeter. touch each pin on the head with one end and the end of the wire with another, check that the wires without resistors make a solid beep and the ones with resisors read 96-100 (no beep).

Well i re-did the cable and tested it. everything checks out there.

Still no joy getting it detected with nandpro though.

Yep, have tried 2 other PCs. I'm pretty sure the cable is fine, it has worked so well right up until this.

do you know if a Cygnos would help me fix this? and would i need a v1 or v2. I really dont want to waste a jtagable xbox. Also contemplating pulling the nand of another xbox to replace it
