I'm trying to unlock a 8G WD WITHOUT putting it back into the original Xbox.

I've run Config magic final on the xbox WITH an upgraded 120G HD.

The info file it creates includes the HD password for the current 120G, which I don't want,  BUT also an HD key.

Can the HD Key be used to unlock the Original 8G HD on a PC?

Go download our LiveInfo Tool..

hook up your 8GB HDD and then type in your HDD Key in there and it will generate the password for your 8GB HDD !

I downloaded Liveinfo, put the 8Gig WD in my pc.
Entered the Hd Key, Liveinfo generated the Hd Password.
Then used HDunlock.

Now I have a useful tiny 8Gig HD  :P
