is there any way to play my backup games on my XBR console with stock dvd drive

i will but i'm thinking about all my other games already burnt.... if not i'l just flash to IX1.6 NS

It will play from nxe. What I dont know is if the nxe will install it to hdd.

I currently don't have cds or dvds to test this out

Do you even see the ( Y ) option for game details?
Do you see the options to install to HDD?
Can you try to see what happens?

xbr and dual layer backups is the same as retail and dual layer backups, the drive wont read the 2nd layer because the disk dosent get past security checks and there for the only thing you will be able to read off it w/o a flashed drive is the video partition (to play this disk).

Thats what i thorght... i'l just use my 1.6 console to install games using nxe and then put the hard drive on my XBR console and run NXE2GOD

maby some one will create an app which bypasses stealth checks on the nand ....
