Orange Ring Of Light? Then All Power Lights Go Off.

I was playing MW2 last night and about 20 minutes in the ring of light started flashing orange (no not red, I know the difference!).  Then it stopped flashing orange and then there were no lights on, not even the center power light, even though the console was still on and I was still playing.  Then in about 5 minutes, the controller lost its connection with the 360 and could not connect again.  At that point I turned the system off and turned it back on and it would not boot and the center light was the only light on.  It was flashing like there was no DVD drive connected (there was).

Soooo....any ideas? lol
