Hi i dont kno if you got your problem sorted but in order to play a retail game on a debug you need to patch the xex file(s) with XEXtool think latest version is 5.3, you need to remove all media limiations and also make it debug (and uncompressed i think) its dead simple to do but unfortunately means you need to extract any games you have in iso format and patch them. However you will then need to burn the data on a normal disk (dual layer if need be but if it fits on a single then that should be fine) The disk should be just like a normal data disk with all files visible ()so not in the normal 360 iso structure. Unfortunately it means having 2 copies off any game you want to play which sucks.

You could always ftp the data to the hard drive using the official 'neighborhood' program.
