i used the alternate solder points on my august 2009 jasper. I'm not banned so i'm not sure if it worked, but I didnt' get any errors when turning it on and loggin to live, so i guess it's good.

I do however have an issue with the Fan after the mod, its about 5 times louder then before. No idea what happened, but i probably messed up somewhere in the proces of opening/closing the 360. Does anyone know what i did wrong?

hi
my 1st post here
i have soldered my jasper 16mb nand in alternative points (watching a unique video from youtube) and, when linking the wires soldered to that points, i'm getting 3rl and nothing more. undoing the link between wires my console boots normally.
any ideia?

O.k. I'm doing this so I don't to accidentally update my XBReboot console. My xbox always asks to update when i sign in to my profile, and i know one of these times I'm gonna try and go to fast and it will update it and i don't feel like re-flashing again. I just wanted to know if its o.k., to leave it in write protect almost 24\7 365.

will this mod prevent my save games and profile from getting "corrupt" if i get the ban?  I've got a box that hasn't touched live since the ban wave started back in November and I'm anxious to flash it to LT and see if i get banned, but i don't want to run the risk of corrupting my saves / profile.

Old thread I know but I'm finally getting around to doing this since a ban wave is coming. I'm installing a switch and I just wanted to know if there was a way for me to test this to make sure it works correctly before the ban comes. Thanks (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Anyone know if this still works with the latest dash 14699? My 360 has been offline for almost two years now. I took it offline when I confirmed it was flagged by calling M$ because it was showing an error on the repair site.

All was well updating the dash via usb and keeping up with the latest LT firmware until the 14699 Metro dash. Now only half of my media files play and it keeps prompting to download the optional media update.

I'm debating flashing back to stock, write protecting the nand, connecting to live to try and get the latest optional media update downloaded. Probably a dumb idea I know but the main function of this 360 is for backups and media streaming from my pc. Already have a stock 360 for online gaming.

I know my other option would be to buy equipment to backup my nand and re-write after a ban but for a few $$$ more I could just buy a Western Digital TV Live box. Also thought about the RGH but it's a Xenon so I'm SOL with that.

So if anyone has a done this successfully with the latest dash I'd appreciate a heads up. Searched all over but see nothing current except for one person claiming the WP alone will cause a ban. Idk what to do.  uhh.gif
