Wow, finally some big news here. I'm leaving the network cable disconnected on 1 of my consoles to see what comes of this new capability. It might even be time to grab another cheap arcade or pro unit !

Well I dont see why someone couldnt stip the bootloader update out of the 849x dash just like they take certain stuff out of the iphone firmware to jail break it will just take some time. That way we can atleast play latest games even if its not on live

It's actually not about the bootloader, it's the CB lockdown fuse that's blown on the update.

Yes, and that cant just be snipped out so you can play on live.

Though yes, there will be a 849x kernel that we can boot into once the hack is released and someone releases a rebooter for us to use.

Exactly what I was wondering how they where gonna get around the burn't Efuses. Disabling the thing that what I assumes blows them sounds promising but I'm sure M$ could just make a patch for the Live Kernel you'll be using to get on Live. But I guess if its possible someone could hack it like the PSP CFW to report that its fine, etc. Anyway If you wanna learn more about the 360's security I suggest checking out this vid the guy who helped port linux to the 360 made. Sorry if its been uploaded before I have no idea where this would be in a topic. WARNING 1 Hour Long:

CFW PSP is pretty cool, I remember recently that Play Station Network was trying to stop us from getting stuff from the store and DAX (the god of making custom firmware) found a way to access without it checking for custom firmware. Also found a way to skip update checks off the UMD Disc.

So it could happen to the 360. hell why not make our own Live.

If Tmbinc releases his portion of the exploit then little bits of unsigned code are possible. But without the rest of the team giving the go it won't be complete as for making our own live thats quite improbable reason being is that the closest we came to that is XBMC xlink kai and it required a computer to use the network and most xbox 360 games have a ping limiter in the system link to keep it from being played over long range lan thus making our own live is out of sight.
