you would have to swap the firmware chip and the entire CPU.
that is nothing you can just solder, you need special BGA rework stations for that.

So not only the DVD drives are keyed to the board, but the bios chip is keyed to the CPU as well?

the drive is keyed to the keycault in the firmware, and the firmware is keyed to the CPU. can't have one without the other.
