Swapping Motherboard
« on: June 08, 2007, 02:30:00 AM »

Hello,

If I was to swap my motherboard to another, would it make any difference in setting? Or wouldnt you notice as long as you insert your own harddrive?

I am aware that you will need a drive with the correct key, I am just wondering about settings etc. Are they stored on a memory card/hdd or in the bios?

Thanks for your help,

Martin

You wouldn't notice at all so long as you edit the settings in the system blade to your liking, such as video output, sound output, boot to dash or cd, etc.

Actually I believe they are stored in flash, so they will not travel with the storage device. All your settings will have to be put in again.
