Hdd Problems (original Xbox)
« on: May 26, 2007, 02:28:00 PM »

My original xbox stopped working a while ago, instead of checking it myself I let somebody else touch it who said they could fix it. It might had been a minor fix, but now it has become a difficult task. I am trying to fix it spend little or no money. They took out the original hard drive, and I just found out that the motherboard will only work with the hdd originally installed in the xbox. The xbox is not soft or hard modded I trying to see if there is a way I can the xbox to reconized the hdd with having to buy a new motherboard/hdd or hard modding. I won't quit so I hope somebody can help!

JEEZUS...
Try the Original Xbox forums.
And try not to spam multiple sub forums(I've counted three so far) with multiple identical postings(regardless of where you post). It irritates people.

But, without having any additional info regarding your real problem, it will be hard to diagnose.

1) Get a HDD you'd like to put in your console
2) Get a dump of your eeprom
3) Format it with everything it needs; use a combo of Slayers and hdm
4) Lock the hdd and close everything up.
5) Post in the correct forum next time
