The Downloadable Spring update is online on xbox site since today . Wonder if it bricks consoles or if its any different than the other spring update obtained by live . Since i havent updated spring update via live , i would like to get the spring update with the downloadable update but i wonder if it have some "bad " sides

anyone ? cmon i am sure lots of ppl r banned even without updating spring with live and now when they try to login they r banned so the only way to update would be this update ? anyone tested it ?

Hi, I've a pal 360 I've burned a dvd-rw with the folder $SystemUpdate but the console don't make the update, in the dashboard says "Multimedia disc".
Does anybody knows why the disc don't work? Thanks in advance

yes you should of burned the default.xex file that was with it

mine says mixed media disk to....there is no default.xex file. there is just a folder and inside the folder is a file called su20076000_00000000.

Have you tried turning on your 360 with the disc already in the drive...?

I cant get the disc to work either , and ive burned 4 , even tried with a pen drive , the only thing ive noticed is that its date stamped ie: $SystemUpdate_12-2007 now would the fact that my 360 clock is not enabled make any difference ? ........ also ive never had any updates before and bought the consol off ebay about 2 yrs ago
