What Exactly Is The Deal With This Kernel Business?

im just curious whats it about? what kinda exploits can be done? im kinda in the dark on this one (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) im not thinkin about doin anything to my xbox, im just curious

With the hypervisor exploit, we can upload and execute our own code.  It does not allow us to sign anything but it does allow for homebrew software.  It will allow us to use alternate OS's, such as linux, once drivers are created and supported (which is nearly complete).  Currently this must be done with a serial connection to J2B1 and uploading compiled code in binary format.  The code is then executed by the 360.  Significant progress is being made in several areas but it is currently out of the average users reach.
