Official 120 Gig Elite Hdd Pack Shows Up As Ntfs Partition?
« on: December 22, 2010, 06:16:00 AM »

a question;

i got (for free) a 120 gig official ms pack. if i connect it to my xbox; my xbox won't boot into the dashboard. hangs at the xbox logo. i also have a transfer cable; if i attach the 120 gig ms hdd pack to that transfer cable and put it on my computer via usb; the drive shows up under windows xp as a 111 gig ntfs partition? it is accessible under windows xp..

is that correct; an official ms hdd shouldn't show up as a 111 gig ntfs harddrive or should it (fatx using fatxplorer sounds more like it should be....)? the pack hasn't been opened; the ms seal is still intact.

it isn't clicking; so the drive thus far is not shot (bad sectors).

any thoughts or...?
