Ok so I was going to update my BIOS to tonight...
I have xecuter 2.3b pro chip and using 256k BIOS size. I am not sure what the first BIOS on my box was.... never the less I tried to update with seceral X2 Bios. After each update the box would be messed up. Evox loads normally but It basically is dead... Does not show any contents of the F drive and does not automatically config IP for me... I ended up puting X2 4983 and everything is working correctly now, I just wanted to know if anyone knew what would cause this error.

Also new Bios such as the 5030 would stop updating before it was half done, it wouldnt freeze the systyem (dashboard clock was running) but it did not finish the flash...
Everything was done by ftp if that information is needed.
Any reccomended bios as well as dashboard?

Ok just so you know that bios is 512KB but that should be fine for your chip. Also don't flash the _16 version since it's for 1.6/B xbox's only and could damage your hardware if you don't have a 1.6/B xbox. Is your hard drive LBA48? Well then you need to use the LBA48 tool that comes with it, oh and remember to put that ini file on the E drive

Hahaha, that could be one reason that it wasn't working if it is 512k I am not sure what you mean by LBA48, what is that? I knew about the different versions for the 1.6 so that wasnt it, thanks for you help.
Any reason that the other Bios wouldnt allow me to see what is on the HD?

LBA48 is for hard drives larger than 137GB <
