Jtag Console - Upgrading 2.5in Hdd

I have a Jtagged Jasper with a HDDHackr created 250GB HDD. From my understanding, I can simply replace the HDD with a larger 2.5 (looking at a 750GB), system format on the 360, and it'll work.

Does this system formatted HDD (beyond 250GB) work with Xplorer360 (or any other PC app)? Is the only way to place content on the larger HDD via FTP?
