i'm FINALLY going to update my bios since i'm finally getting a new hard drive
anyway, i know there are lots of threads explaining this stuff but i just want to verify everything before i do this
i really don't want to mess anything up
what i'm doing is flashing a chameleon chip using the evox method
ok, so first i would create the option on the evox menu so i could flash the bios
Item "flash bios",ID_Flash_Bios
then i want to ftp my new bios into my bios folder in C:
but since i don't have a bios folder in c: i would create a bios folder, right?
before i do this would i have to delete my old bios, theres a bios.bin in the backup folder, would delete this now, or later, or could i just keep this even after i reflash my bios?
i really don't want to switch banks or anything so what would be the right thing to do?
when ftping the new bios into the C: drive, would i rename the bios to bios.bin or would i keep the name that it came with, which in this case would be x2_4983.06_256k
then i would finally flash my bios by clicking on the flash bios options in the evox menu, and then i would cross my fingers
so i just want to verify that all and someone tell me if theres something in there that i should or shouldn't do <
