Does it see your profile? If you go into Memory does it see the hard drive?

Try ftping instead of xport, just like I outlined in the first post of this thread.

The Easiest Method To Swap In A Larger Hdd And Transfer Data
« Reply #47 on: July 25, 2010, 10:08:00 PM »

Minor question, I JTAG'ed a second 360 (we'll call it #2 for namesake), and the hard drive whose contents I want to copy to a 320GB hard drive is from my original non-JTAG'able 360 (call it #1). Now, if I were to use this method to clone the contents of the hard drive from xbox #1 onto my 320GB hard drive, am I going to have trouble running my gamesaves, profile, and such when I use it on xbox #2? Also, will I have trouble using DLC that was tied to xbox #1? The hard drive in xbox #1 is crippled from the banstick.

Thanks in advance, so many burning hoops to jump through in this mess.

You will probably have to run your profile and saves through ConSaver here. You can unlock your DLC using Xm360.

It won't go into an ftpable state. It only boots to nxe with that drive on. :-/

I had similar trouble with a JTAG'd Falcon that would not properly see a 20GB OEM drive. I just read a post saying that someone bought a console and it would not see the drive it came with. Can you use the drive with NXE like ripping a game?

Sorry for the double post, I chose to post again instead of editing to bump the topic and mark it as updated on the main board.

Alright, so I followed everything, and though I ran into many bumps on the way, mostly using consaver to reassign my saves (my KV was the wrong size, and I don't have my cpu key anymore, nor are my LPT wires still soldered) but everything's up and running now, forza 3 saves nuked though, haha.

Anyway, I did notice that I do need that avatar update since none of my profile avatars are showing up. Thing is, I didn't remove the R6T3 resistor nor did I do the solder bridge. Now, I plan on popping my 360 open tomorrow anyway to reseat my CPU heatsink (RRoD is gone, but the CPU idles at 80C and the fans are constantly spinning in what seems like turbo mode), so should I wait off on the update until tomorrow night when I can protect my NAND, or is it safe to apply the update now, even with XBR 8955 on my NAND?

Is there any risk to booting jtag console with orig 20gb hard drive (planning to transfer to 500Gb) if plan to continue using 20gb hd on live unmodded console? will the hd pick up some cashed files or something that live could detect???

Thanks

Sorry to dig up an old thread but this is really doing my head in now

have managed to get it all working following the instructions from the original post

Profile shows fine games work fine
the only thing i can't get working is xport360 will not show the contents of partition 3  sad.gif

Using a 500Gb western digital hard drive
win 7 64bit
running freeboot 12611

Use Party Buffalo Drive Explorer, it's much better than old xplorer360.
