Hmm well I did it this way and it all worked perfect. I copied all files from the 20gig on the Hdd1 and HddX partitions to my computer. Then I formatted the 120gig on the non JTAG'd xbox. I then copied all files to the 120gig using the ftp on my JTAG'd xbox and then plugged the 120gig into my non JTAG'd xbox and it worked perfectly. Didn't need to use hddhacker at all or hdd_compat_partition_fixer_v1. I'm thinking because I formatted on the non JTAG'd xbox it set up the partitions for me.

Oh was it a offical M$ 120Gb HDD? I thought you were talking about one you bought from Newegg or something.

Spegs, I noticed that my current HD has a third folder titled Flash. Do I need to do anything with this folder when migrating data to the new drive? Not sure what's stored there, as I didn't JTAG this myself, and am only now beginning to understand the file structures.

Thanks!

Good idea, but are you referring to Xexmenu or hdd_compat_partition_fixer_v1 iso please?

My drive is flashed but can the 360 drives read CD-R or do I need to use a DL-R? If the later, will I need to pad at all?

CD worked fine, thank you. FTP'd Hdd1 & Hddx to new drive, and everything is present and correct. However, first game I tried was Fifa 10 but it advised personal settings were corrupt and therefore could not be used (although actual game saves work ok). This is a little worrying as now wondering if anything else is corrupt and why?

Any ideas why this would happen or any other things I should double check please?

Also, just tried Halo 2, gave a E71 error?!

Sorted out Xbox 1 games giving E71 error by patching nand, however, things are still not right.

Again with Fifa 10, tried to save a new formattion and the 360 hard reset itself?! There is clearly something wrong with the setup of my new drive. I have started from scratch several times making sure to follow this tut correctly, but receive exactly the same errors, so not sure why I'm getting these errors. Any ideas please?

I am going to hijack this thread since I am really furstrated and feel that OP could possibly help me.

I followed your instructions as in the first post, but below is the problem.

I have a jtagged xbox 360 which plays games from external hdd extracted thru xbox image browser fine. However if I place in the internal (knock off) HDD, formatted as instructed in the first post, the games are not able to be started from Freestyle or xexmenu from the external hdd. If I use free style to now transfer these games to Internal HDD, they play fine.  Also few games still work from the external drive even with this internal hdd in the console however most will not work.

If I take the internal HDD, then the games on the external will start working.

Please advise.

Thanks a million.

Just to inform you guys that the HDDX partition showed up on XEXMenu!

I was trying XeXLoader and FSD, but xexmenu took care of it! wink.gif

Do you have to copy over all the content of HDD1? Or is the content folder enough?
