M8+ On V1.6 (not M8+_16)

Is it normal that a M8+ (not M8+_16) works on a Xbox v1.6? Actually, I have some games that only work when this wrong bios is loaded)... normally I run my box with the M8+16 bios...
Let me give some samples.... Test games Taz:wanted and Brute Force.... (I own the games, just use the harddisk for faster gameplay).... anyway, taz works fine on my v1.6 when I use the wrong bios (m8+ for boxes 1.0 to 1.5).... while brute force refuses to work.... when I load the M8+_16, Taz refuses to work while brute force works.... Is that normal?
Both bioses are clean (md5 hash match)....
Any ideas of whats going on?

Um...the non 1.6 BIOS shouldn't even work.... :blink: <
