Hddss.bin And Xbox Live
« on: February 06, 2010, 02:46:00 AM »

It doesnt matter if a hddss.bin is being used by 2 or 1000000 people. They will all go down if microsoft decides to ban these hdd's. Now i assume your next question will be Do you think they will ever start banning these unofficial hdd's? Im afraid only microsoft knows that answer. So use a public hddss.bin and dont put your friend at risk.

Thanks for the response.  I had a feeling I might have been wrong about this whole issue.

I did mine ages ago using the public one and all seems good. But have been wondering ever since; when you flash, it asks you if you want to enter a new serial?

Can we not just enter a new one and then we will all hopefully have 'different' HDDSS.BIN, or will it screw up the MD5 etc?

Hddhackr never asked me to input a serial unsure.gif but afaik modifying the hddss.bin will break the signature and will result in non functional hdd. Dont you think that the creator of hddhackr 'TheSpecialist' wouldnt allready had figured that one out if there was a possibilty?
