Sata To Esata
« on: February 05, 2010, 09:07:00 AM »

I have an arcade xbox that I just firmware flashed and I want to add a drive to it.  I have not JTAG'd the console and I don't plan to mainly because I can't solder to save my life.  I do not want to purchase a hard drive enclosure or a MS drive because they are too expensive for what they are.  Would I be able to purchase a sata to esata adapter and just connect that where the hdd should go?  Will that be sufficient to power to drive?  I realize i would need the proper drive and I do have a BEVS so technically, this should work.  Has anyone ever done this before?  Or any thoughts on if it will work or not?  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks.
