i am soooo sory bout postin this guys... but yeah im a complete noob and can never seem to find the info i need.  alright 1. what the in the hell is a BIOS and what does it do....  also what is the difference between it and a dashboard?

2. how do i send these files to my xbox (i have an ftp client and can use it but where exactly do i send the files to ON the xbox

3. what are some programs that will allow me to copy games directly to my xbox HD

4. where can i find those programs

5. where can i find an evolutionx dash or bios or what ever the hell it is?

6. where do i send the evolutionx once i get it??



thanx for helpin me out... PLS PLS PLS dont flame me... i just installed my mod chip yesterday and im completely lost because the guides i need are either non-existant and or waaaaay to vague....

if u have any answers all i need is a basic answer... such as .... "to send a file to the xbox and use it ......(assuming extract or something)  and send it  to (?)  file on the xbox harddrive.   thanx and sorry again for posting such a noob topic

A bios changes the rules the xbox needs to follow in order to operate and a dashboard is basically like a front end letting you execute apps and browse your hard drive. just like the bios on your computer and windows would be your dashboard.

you can put the files anywhere you want to on your xbox deppending on what files and how big the drive is. be more specific if you want guidance on what to put where.

DVD2XBOX is the most popular program you can rip games directly to your xbox or rip them to an smb share i recommend you use this app.

If you want it as your main dash you should put it in c:\ on the xbox an rename it according to how you have your bios setup name usually works but if you have changed what your bios looks for adjust accordingly. <

alright... i got evox  and put it in and added it to launch item (just realized it may be beneficial to add that i  currently run xenium 2.3 os as my BIOS )  but when i launch evox al that happens is the box launches the standard dash (TSOP) with a evox pop up in the corner but i get no options... how do i get the extra options and what exactly did evox change??


also... ive been to #xbins but when i went to the evox part they said that they no longer host evox files... is there anywhere else i can find it?  can i get it off of a p2p client such as shareaza or kazaa?
