X Logo, Dds, And Editing

Well been looking all over for answers on how to do this. Bascially what I want to do is change the X that loads up to a picture. Now is this possible? Or is only editing the color of the X and/or changing the MS/X2 text possible?

I have all the tools, I just don't know where exactly to start with this. If possible, please point me in the right direction. I have read through the pinned tuts, but didn't see anything specific to the project I want to do. Thanks in advance.

I was able to load the 4981 bios in Kernel Basher. I loaded up one of the presets and the Flubber screen did load with the wireframe display... however when the X loads up nothing is displayed. It starts to show the wireframe X then kinda fades out.

I also tried adding some of the .x files included... and they did not load up. What am I doing wrong here?

EDIT: I just tried it again... and it worked. I have no idea what was wrong. I didn't use the wireframe scene so I'm not sure if that had something to do with it or not.

Another question I had... does anyone know where I can get the template file that is mentioned in the tutorial? I'd like to make my own .x file but cannot seem to find that template anywhere.
