Flashing A 2.6

Can I flash a 2.6 chip with the x2 4983.06 bios?  Can I use the smae bioses that I used to flash a 2.3?

either way i HIGHLY RECOMMEND a program called "FlashX v1.2" to update your bios's on a already working xbox... it works perfect and is simple to use.

X2.4983 = 1.0-1.5 xbox (u can use either bank for this bios)
Evox M8 for 1.6 xbox or Evox M8+ for 1.6b xbox ... bios MUST be on BANK2!

Do both bioses for the v1.6 or v1.6b need to be on bank 2?  If so, why?  Thanks for the feedback by the way.

it doeasnt matter on which bank youput the m8 as long as it is in the right size !!
if you will try to put a 256k bios on a 512k bank you will be getting porblems!!! so make sure you creat the right size !

a side note - when you flash a chip, it flashes from the beginning to the end. so it doesn't matter if you got the switch set to bank 2, if you only flash a 512 image it'll all be on bank 1.

basically to flash to bank 2, you must use a 1 mb image, so that it flashes until the end of bank 2.
