Original Bios For 1.1 Xbox Version
« on: December 05, 2004, 05:57:00 AM »

Ok, it's like that. I have switch on my tsop xbox, and i wanna get original bios so i'll be able to play over XBL. Here comes the problem: I have 1.1 version of xbox, i tried four diffrent kernels...this ones:
-4817 , 4627(i read that these two bioses are for xbox 1.1),  3944 and 4034(i read that these two are for xbox 1.0).
But none of this bioses wasn't working, xbox was fragging when i turned it on with original bios(fragged on then off twice, then turned on with flashing red light and there was no picture on tv - the same if xbox is turned off).  Help, cuz i don't know if i am doing something wrong while flashing, or anything else.  :(

Many thanks, BigdaddyS

You have one switch, so you are switching 512k banks.

Have you constructed your 1Meg Bios file with 2*256K Orig + 2*256K hacked?

(That is... do you have TWO copies of original 256K bios on your TSOP one after the other?)

Remember that the Xbox will FRAG if it does not see identical BIOS's as part of its boot up checking.

from my past experience if you have a 1MB bios split two ways on the TSOP and both parts are not the same then the xbox boots up "funny".  Sometimes you are able to boot up a game sometimes the xbox just doesnt start up.  The two BIOS i used were [MS bios/M7] dont know if this is true if the TSOP is split four ways.

My TSOP is split four ways so i am using 4 256k bioses. All three other bioses work, just the original frags. I really don't know what should i do, cuz i tried all 1.0 and 1.1 bioses that i got form xbins but none of them was working.  <_<  :(

What's debug bios used for?

Thanks, BigdaddyS
