QUOTE(jwabsolution @ Aug 2 2009, 12:28 AM) View Post

so i had a spare 60gb hdd laying around and my buddy wanted to upgrade his 20gb

so i went ahead and formatted the 60gb to wipe it clean and backed up all the info from the 20gb on his machine (had about 2gb free space on his 360 hdd)

then i injected all the data into the 60gb and plugged it back into his 360.

went searching into his new hdd and it shows nothing at all, and displays the same amount of free space as before. i dont get it, if i moved everything from his 20gb drive to a 60gb shouldnt it show at least 35gb free space?

anyway any help on this issue would be great. the last time i did this was with my 120gb bevs but i was using my XP machine and not my buddy's Vista machine - think that makes a difference? I ran everything as administrator.

Did you flash the 60gb drive with the proper code to make it look like a xbox 360 drive??

The 60gb hdd i am using came with a MS xbox360. When I formatted the drive in the 360 and inspected it afterward it shows the 50+gb of free space.

When I put all my buddy's partition 3 onto this drive and inspect it again it shows ~2gb of free space but none of the saves are present at all.

If your saying I should flash the drive with a 60gb hddss.bin file that would happen before the file transfer. So I dont see the benefit/solution in doing that.

I had/have the same issue moving from my 20gig to a 120gig.

When i transferred partition 2 and 3 to it, it would report 4gigs free, and Nothing would be present in the same game data folder.

The only solution that i could find that would work and be cheap was borrowing a memory card from a friend, and pull my profiles and a few saves from the 20gb, and put them in the freshly formatted 120.

Good luck man, and if anything, this post is a bump. smile.gif
