Copy Maps From Hdd To Hdd
« on: April 07, 2009, 06:12:00 PM »

I have 2 xbox 360 hdd's (the 20gb ones).  Both have totally different profiles on them and one of them has ts-h943 firmware hack on it.

What I want to do is copy COD4 & COD5 map packs from the unmodded xbox to the modded xbox.  Is it possible to copy just the map packs from HDD to HDD?

I have an xsata lying around which hopefully will be enough to do this, but I can buy new equipment if need be.

The other account on the unmodded xbox is totally unrealted to the one on the modded xbox.

Are there anyways to do this by copying the contents of the HD with the maps to the one without them using the xsata or some other peice of hardware?

Then do it and see what happen, but maybe you should read up on the security aspects of the packages the downloadable content comes in before you get all butthurt when we tell you to just buy them again.

Buy a cheap used Memory Unit from eBay.

Copy Xbox Live Gold Profile to memory card, load it up on other Xbox.

Once signed in, download the copy directly to the second machine.

I purchase items through my profile, copy my profile over to memory card, load up second Xbox and download the software to it.  If my wife is playing I can throw the memory card on my Xbox in my office.

This method also allows both of us to use one purchased title at the same time on Xbox Live.

For the purposes of doing this, can I use one of the 64MB memory cards just to copy over the profile or do I need a larger capacity one?

Also, once I do this, can I delete the profile from the xbox im downloading the maps to and still have the map pack useable on other profiles?

Straight copying of maps from one Xbox to another won't work because of the DRM associated with it.  You theoretically could put the maps on the Xbox but unless it has an associated profile authorized to use it - it is a no go.  There are two ways that the DRM works, based on Console ID with any profile logged in, and via Profile base DRM authorized to purchase it.

Freely copying the maps to other Xbox's does not work.
