yes the BEVT drives will work, i have used the 160GB version only though (newegg was out of the 120's) but i dont see why any BEVT wouldnt work

Is this likely to change when the 250gb drives are released, or will only a 250gb hdd work? It would be great to squeeze an extra 40gb out of my 1600bevt.

agreed, just think about it...

if you are telling the system the drive is 250GB and there is really only 160GB there will be MANY conficts in the drive's firmware

this is far from possible

also if you are the only person on a 360 with a 160GB drive MS is going to banhammer your ass
