Xecuter Hard Drive Adapter V2
« on: January 17, 2009, 04:52:00 PM »

hi all,

i just got an Xecuter CK3 which came with the XB360_HD_Adaptor V2.  i'm trying to transfer my data/saves from a 20 gb to a 60gb hard drive but I can't seem to get windows xp to recognize the hard drive.  i've tried a SATA connection to my mobo with both usb power and molex power to no avail.  i'm fairly certain i'm connecting everything correctly, but there's no "on" switch and there isn't a light or anything on the adapter to indicate power.  if someone knows of a quick setup tutorial/diagram or can point me in the right direction i'd really appreciate the help.  (it's probably something really obvious  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) ).  anyway thanks, and cheers!

Those wonderful HD adaptors won't alway read a drive properly. I have two 20gb drives and only one of them works with the adaptor, the other one I have to remove from the case and plug into the mobo.

hmm alright thanks for the advice.  i ended up ordering a transfer cable from M$, we'll see how that goes... dry.gif

Hi

did you restart the pc with everything attached, some pc bioses dont support sata hot swap, having the drive connected via the hdd adapter at bootup will enable the bios to detect the xbox hdd.

Even if you get the drive recognized, there is no software available right now to read or write content to 60 gb hard drive.
I have already tried xplorer360, various modified versions, and xport from 1.12 to 2.00 but never had success.
Xplorer360 coder hasn't given out any news about a possible update for his program.
Yesterday I received transfer cable from M$, but since it is a one time only software, I used memory card to copy content from 1 hd to the other, and now I can wait for a proper software to support 60 gb hard drive.
