Millerboy3 is right. You only have access to what the original hddss.bin states is there. For all intents and purposes, if you use a 120GB bin on a 500GB WD, you now have a 120GB 360 compatible drive with about 346GB wasted space(give or take a little for the conversion).
All I would say is get whatever size is cheapest and compatible and use it. Sooner or later MS may end up with a larger drive, but until then, 120 is decent.
