I have an aladdin 32 chip with a evo M7 bios on. I get the prob where on startup it boots and restarts 3 times and goes to error, sonethinmes it can take 10 times to boot into EvoX, other times 1st time

I have opened it up twice and checked connections D0 point etc and looks ok

I was wondering if this prob can be caused by a bad chip bios or something, and was wondering if a bios reflash might fix it?

if so which bios shall I choose for my chip? and is it just a case of bios, dummy file on a CD and my aladdin 32 chip will reflash ok?

if it works sometimes, then the bios is good. sounds more like connection probs somewhere.

it shows an error? would help to the number that's displayed top left corner.
i'm just guessing but maybe it's your hdd.

sounds like a d0 problem to me    the 3 resets is usually atribyted to d0

mmm. So it sounds not to be the bios then. I don't get any errors shown, all it does is resets 3 times and goes to MS dashboard and resets the clock.

the only errors are a flashing  green and amber LED.

I have already tried the D0 twice what else re the D0 can I check then? its frustrating as the clock resets and can sometimes take 10 or more times to goto evoX or sometimes it does it first time. I have a v1.1 with aladdin 32 chip.

it's not d0. d0 would be i.e. the mod not working randomly and instead booting off the original bios. it does sound like the other lpc points might have a problem.
